The Office of the Vice Provost for Budget, Planning, and Administration is responsible for oversight of the Academic budgeting process. Our ongoing goal is to improving administrative services through efficient uses of technology and administrative systems. Our functions include classroom and course scheduling, upgrading and creating new academic and study spaces as well as equipping them with appropriate instructional technologies. The VPBPA also oversees the activities of the Online Learning Council, a University initiative aimed at ensuring all online courses and materials meet the quality Drexel students deserve.

Academic Information & Systems (AIS) is a centralized department that serves the academic, administrative and operational units of Drexel University. AIS Systems Analysts maintain the academic systems and implement system solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.

Today's classroom is a hub of learning technologies, smart room tools, and virtual learning environments. Faculty have access to the latest teaching technologies to enhance their own teaching efficacy and capability for student success.
Web & Communications Services
From electronic communications, web development, photography, videography and digital publications, the Office of the Provost provides full service electronic communication capabilities throughout the division.
Vice Provost for Budget, Planning & Administration
Dr. Jan Biros joined Drexel University in 1986 in a special projects role to promote and market courseware developed by Drexel faculty as part of the groundbreaking microcomputer program established in 1983. As Associate Vice President of IRT she helped grow the Instructional Technology Support Group (ITS) to some 40 professional staff providing technical support to both University City and Center City campuses, as well as our partner colleges.
Dr. Biros' responsibilities have also included technology outreach and she has been actively involved with the Philadelphia School District, the Mayor’s Commission on literacy, and Philadelphia Futures. Jan served on the Advisory and Development Committee organized by Microsoft and the School District of Philadelphia to create the Microsoft School of the Future and was a member of the Technology Advisory Committee for the Franklin Learning Center in Philadelphia for several years.
