Description of activities:
The Growth, Learning, and Development (GLAD) Program is dedicated to improving the understanding of how children with histories of neglect, or abuse, or prenatal cocaine exposure, or a chronic medical problem such as cystic fibrosis develop emotionally, behaviorally, and cognitively. Longitudinal studies are underway with children between the ages of 4 and 13 years of age.
Student responsibilities:
Interviewing parents, videotaping labs, coding videotapes, data entry, assisting with babysitting of siblings during lab visits, and participation in lab meetings.
