Guide to Course Registration

1. Determine When You Are Scheduled to Register for Classes

Every student has a specific window in which they can register, called a time ticket. To view your time ticket:

  • Log in to DrexelOne
  • Click on the 'Students' tab and select 'Check Your Registration Information'
  • Select the upcoming term and view your time ticket.
Students on Hold:

If you do not resolve holds on your student account in time for registration, you will delay your registration into courses and thus have difficulty securing your required classes.

  • Students on financial hold with unpaid balances or would like to discuss financing options should consult with Drexel Central in the Main Building, Suite 106.
  • For information on resolving an immunization hold, please contact the Office of Health Insurance & Immunizations at 215.895.2507.
  • New freshmen who have not provided their final high school transcripts will have a high school transcript hold placed on their account. Students are advised to contact Drexel Central at 215.895.1600 to resolve the missing final high school transcript hold.
If you have any other type of hold on your account, you must see your academic advisor to determine the necessary course of action to have the hold removed.

2. Build Your Schedule Ahead of Time

Now that you know when you are scheduled to register, it's important that you plan ahead by building a course plan for the next term. It is recommended that you create your schedule at least two weeks prior to the opening of your time ticket. You may wish to create a Plan B and C in case any of your course selections are unavailable (i.e. full) when you attempt to register.

Sample Plan of Study

Your Sample Plan of Study outlines the courses you are required to take and when they should be taken. Certain courses have pre-requisites and co-requisites, that is classes that need to be taken prior to or concurrently with the course you are registering for. These pre- and co-requisites can be found on the detail page of the course in the Term Master Schedule. To avoid delays during scheduling, ensure that your pre- and co-requisites are satisfied. To access your Sample Plan of Study:

  • Open the University Catalog
  • Select the appropriate catalog (undergraduate or graduate)
  • Find your major by selecting the college/school in which you are enrolled
  • Select your major
  • Finally, choose Sample Plan of Study in the upper-right corner.
Launch DegreeWorks to Help Map Out and Build Your Schedule Plan

Launch DegreeWorks via DrexelOne by clicking on the 'Student' tab, then 'More BannerWeb Student Records' and finally 'DegreeWorks Audit.' Use your recommended plan of study as a guide while using DegreeWorks. DegreeWorks will list all required courses with pre-requisites and will also let you know whether or not you have the necessary requirements to register for a specific course. Use the GPA calculator to help you determine exactly how you must perform in each course to attain your desired GPA. Mix and match electives amongst core requirements to ease your potential workload. You will not be able to register for courses through DegreeWorks, so make sure that you record your plans. Make sure your plans are easily accessible to ensure a more fluid registration.

3. Register as Soon as Your Time Ticket Opens

To enroll into the required courses indicated by your Sample Plan of Study, it is important that you register as soon as your time ticket allows. Since you have already built your schedule, registering for classes consists of a few simple steps:
  • Log in to DrexelOne
  • Select the 'Students' tab
  • Click 'Add/Drop Classes'
  • Input your Course Registration Numbers (unique 5 digit number assigned to each course in the Term Master Schedule) into the boxes located at the bottom of the page and hit 'Submit'
  • Congratulations! You've just registered for classes.
Note: Once you have completed the registration process, it is important to confirm that you have successfully secured your courses for the term. To view your schedule for the upcoming term:
  • Log in to DrexelOne
  • Select the 'Students' tab
  • Click 'Student Detail Schedule'
  • Select the upcoming term, hit 'Submit' and you're set
