New Office Furniture Standards Purchasing Program Announced

University Procurement has reviewed office furniture purchases for Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine to identify our most preferred furniture lines and distributors. Representatives from the preferred manufacturers and distributors met with University Procurement buyers and Planning, Design and Construction staff to develop University-wide office furniture standards for systems furniture, case goods, seating, and clinical practices.

“Good,” “Better,” and “Best” levels were established for each furniture category, representing a wide variety of styles and choices. These standards simplify the process for purchasing office furniture and establish higher product quality, price discounts, free design services, warranties, and University approved installation.

University Procurement strongly encourages those whose responsibility includes ordering furniture to contact the preferred furniture vendors listed on this web site. Printed materials showcasing all our furniture lines, divided into pricing categories and styles, are available for review in the Procurement Office (3201 Arch Street, Suite 340). Please call 215-895-2921 to make an appointment to review these materials.

Planning, Design, and Construction staff are also available to assist in the review and selection of furniture.

Requests for items not in compliance with the office furniture standards must be justified and approved by University Procurement.
