Kelly Douglass Wins Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Award

June 11, 2014 — Kelly Douglass, doctoral candidate, was the recipient of one of the five Chambliss Astronomy Achievement Student Award at the 224th meeting of the American Astronomical Society. The Astronomy Achievement Student Awards recognize exemplary research by undergraduate and graduate students who present at one of the poster sessions at the meetings of the AAS. Awardees are honored with a Chambliss medal. Kelly presented "Gas-phase Metallicity of Void Dwarf Galaxies." Her thesis advisor Prof. Michael Vogeley co-authored this work.
