2008/2009 Parking Permit Rates
The University has been informed that Mayor Michael Nutter has signed a bill approving a 5% increase to the City of Philadelphia parking tax effective July 1, 2008. Therefore, there will be a necessary increase to the Drexel parking permit rate for the 2008 Summer Term, from $339 to $357.

For the 2008 Fall term a rate increase of approximately 5% will also be implemented for the new academic year, bringing the parking permit rate to $372 for Fall 2008 – Summer 2009. An annual increase is necessary in order for Drexel Parking Services to keep apace with expenditures for the cost of maintaining parking facilities, insurance, utilities and snow removal. Summer 2008 Drexel Parking Permit Renewal Process
Summer 2008 permits expire on Sunday, June 15, 2008.  Current parking customers are able to renew their permits until Friday, June 13, 2008. To renew, please make payment and receive a new permit sticker by 5:00pm on June 13, 2008. Un-renewed spaces will be made available to new customers beginning Monday, June 16, 2008.

Note: Annual, or prepaid multiple term customers, whose permits expire later than Sunday, June 15, 2008 do not need to take any action. more
