    Drexel President Constantine Papadakis to Join Students on University Float in Philadelphia's Greek Independence Day Parade
    April 3, 1997


    What: Twenty Greek-American students will be joined by Drexel University President Constantine Papadakis, a native of Greece, on the University's float in Philadelphia's Greek Independence Day Parade.

    When: Sunday, April 5, 1997; 2-3:30 p.m.

    Where: East on Chestnut Street, beginning at 11th to 5th Streets

    Bio: Papadakis, fluent in Greek, is a registered professional engineer who has spent half of his career working in the private sector. With a string of major successes, Drexel's president has turned the University into a model for higher education in the 21st century. With Papadakis's new approach, Drexel is now experiencing dramatically improved enrollments and actively pursuing a host of new initiatives.
