Nomination Form

Overview

The Drexel University President's Awards acknowledge innovation and excellence that help to fulfill the goals, mission, and strategic plans of the University. This award is the highest honor granted to staff at Drexel.

Nominees must have made a significant contribution to Drexel that enabled the University's or College of Medicine's strategic plans and met one or more of the following criteria:

•  Developed ground breaking ideas or novel approaches for process or program improvement that have been reviewed and approved for implementation

•  Effectively collaborated with other departments or divisions to achieve significant process or program improvements

•  Delivered exceptional results, produced significant cost savings or enhanced efficiency through extraordinary service designed to meet or exceed departmental, divisional or university needs

•  Consistently demonstrated FIRST Principles at a superior level and continually fostered pride within the university community

Please note: these awards are not intended to recognize research or teaching accomplishments.

Award Amount

Individual recipients receive $3,500; teams receive up to $5,000 (to a maximum of $1,000 per individual).

Who is Eligible for Nomination

• All Drexel University and Drexel University College of Medicine staff (both individuals and teams) are eligible for nomination.

Nomination Process

•  Nominations can be made by any member of the University Community (students, faculty and staff) using the nomination form

•  Nominations should recognize accomplishments/contributions made during the 2007/2008 academic year (July 1, 2007 – June 20, 2008)

•  Nominations must be made by Friday July 11th

Selection Process

•  A cross-functional Selection Committee will review nominations to ensure that nominees meet Drexel's performance standards

•  This committee will identify finalists and forward their recommendations to the President and his cabinet for final selection

•  Selection Committee members who are nominated for an award will not serve on the Committee
