Pa. Department of Health Recognizes Drexel Research with CURE Grant

July 18, 2013

The Office of Government and Community Relations hosted a presentation ceremony on July 18 where Secretary Michael Wolf, PA State Representative Bill Adolph and representatives from the Department of Health recognized the work of Drexel researchers. Drexel received $1.4 million through the Commonwealth Universal Research Enhancement (CURE) Program to support nine of its projects, including research focused on breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, ADHD, the immune system and pain therapy. The Office of Government and Community Relations has worked closely with the Pennsylvania Cancer Alliance, the administration and the General Assembly over the years to ensure that these dollars continue to fund research throughout the Commonwealth.
