Introduction to the Office of Equality & Diversity

The Office of Equality and Diversity (OED) is committed to promoting, supporting, and providing resources to sustain a living, learning, and working environment of diversity, equality, fairness, inclusion, and respect where all members of the University community are valued.

OED is responsible for ensuring that the University complies with its own policies and with federal, state, and local laws prohibiting discrimination and harassment based upon race; color; religion; gender; pregnancy; national origin; age; disability; sexual orientation, identity, and expression; and veteran status.

In addition to investigating complaints, OED utilizes various conflict resolution processes to address complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
