Co-Curricular Resume

Your involvement in campus life has taught you concrete skills that will contribute significantly to your personal and professional success after college.

Every student knows that academic performance will influence their future employment or graduate school opportunities.  Yet, many may not be aware that activities outside of the classroom also contribute to personal and career development.

The Co-Curricular Resume is an easy way to organize your experiences outside of the classroom in a format that can act as a supplement to your professional resume for potential employers, graduate schools, etc.

What is a Co-Curricular Resume?

  • It is very similar to the professional resume that you develop for your career. The difference: it records your co-curricular involvement and accomplishments outside of the classroom while enrolled at Drexel University.  This can include: student organization involvement, athletics and recreational sports, leadership workshops and seminars, professional association membership, community service, honors & awards, etc.
  • The Co-curricular Resume is used to supplement your professional resume and academic transcripts when applying for employment, graduate school or scholarships.
  • The Co-Curricular Resume will be offered in conjunction with foliotm - Drexel University's electronic portfolio system.  Foliotm is designed to document all of your experiences, achievements, projects, and accomplishments in one central system for prospective employers.

Why have we developed the Co-Curricular Resume?

  • Your co-curricular experiences are valuable to your personal and professional development.
  • Through involvement in co-curricular experiences, you gain transferable skills that can be applied to many areas.
  • Graduates who can demonstrate a wide variety of skills and experiences are highly sought after as they move into professional careers.

Why should I create a Co-Curricular Resume and what are the benefits?

  • You can document your co-curricular involvement and leadership experiences while enrolled at Drexel University.
  • You can show a potential employer or graduate school that co-curricular activities also make for a well-rounded individual.
  • You can make yourself more marketable and make yourself stand out in any job search or graduate school application by presenting these experiences as a part of your professional portfolio.
  • You can help potential employers and graduate schools recognize you have distinguished yourself in leadership functions and self-development during your time as a member of our university community.
