Q: Who can attend the CEO workshops?
A: CEO leadership workshops are open to all undergraduate and graduate students at Drexel University who wish to learn leadership and organizational skills and strategies. Members and leaders of student organizations are encouraged to attend.
Q: How do I earn a Certificate OR which workshops should I attend to earn a Certificate?
A: Detailed certificate descriptions and requirements for each certificate can be found on the CEO webpage at: www.drexel.edu/oca/l . The CEO Certificate most often earned is the Personal Leadership certificate. The requirements for this certificate are to attend any 6 workshops offered throughout the academic year.
Q: How do I sign up for the CEO workshops OR do I have to sign up prior to attending workshops?
A: Students are encouraged to arrive at the CEO workshops and simply fill out the attendance sign-in sheets. The Office of Campus Activities keeps all attendance records.
Q: When and how is the workshop schedule publicized?
A: The CEO workshop scheduled is planned and advertised on a per Term basis. CEO workshop schedules are available on the web and in paper versions at the beginning of each Term. Students are strongly encouraged to visit the website and join the CEO listserv for weekly emails.
Q: What happens if a workshop is cancelled or rescheduled?
A: When workshops need to be cancelled and/or rescheduled, there are two ways students can find out about these changes: 1) primarily through the CEO email Listserv, and 2) on the website.
Q: Can I earn more than one Certificate in a year?
A: Any student can earn multiple Certificates in a single year. Thus far, students have earned between 1 and 4 Certificates in a single year?
Q: Can I earn a CEO Certificate multiple times in multiple years?
A: Absolutely. Many students earn CEO Certificates year after year as they continue to develop their personal and professional leadership skills.
Q: How much time do I have in order to complete the requirements to earn a Certificate?
A: Certificate requirements can be fulfilled over the course of an entire academic year, from the Summer Term through the following Spring Term. Certificates do not have to be earned in one term alone.
Q: How do I get my Certificate once I have completed the requirements?
A: The CEO Program holds an Award Reception toward the end of the Spring Term. All students who have earned Certificates over the course of the entire academic year are invited and receive awards.
Q: How can I find out how many workshops I have attended thus far?
A: Students can email CEO@drexel.edu for attendance records. All students will receive periodic emails throughout the year with a listing of CEO workshop attended.
Q: Can one CEO workshop be used toward earning multiple Certificates?
A: Unless a workshop is required for multiple Certificates, all CEO workshops can be applied toward one Certificate's requirements.
Q: How do organizations earn $$$ for CEO attendance?
A: Student organizations that have made the commitment to developing their leaders can earn the Excellent Organization Certificate. The Excellent Organization Certificate is earned by having five (5) or more members earn any Certificate, and the organization can earn up to $500.
Q: What is CEO II?
A: CEO II is an advanced training for leadership excellence that includes multiple on-campus trainings and off-campus specialty experiences. For 2005-2006, CEO II is using Dr. John Maxwell's corporate training materials on The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and the 21 I ndispensable Qualities of a Leader

A: Only students who have previously earned CEO Program Certification are eligible to apply for CEO
