Magnatel inChile” – International Negotiation Simulation
Sponsored by: The International Area Studies Department and the English Language Center

The English Language Center and International Area Studies Department are sponsoring an international negotiating simulation with Dr. Marta Szabo White from Duke University’s Center for International Business Education and Research (Duke CIBER).  

  • There are 12 spots left for Drexel students and we think this is a great opportunity for students seeking CEO credit.
  • The other participants are students from the EU studying at Drexel with the European Student Leadership Program.
  • “Magnatel in Chile” is a role-play simulation based on an actual business situation where students must portray the cultural, corporate and character of an international negotiating team. The simulation encourages students to learn cultural sensitivity, active listening, communication skills in cultural contexts, and conflict management.
  • Student will also get to participate in CultureActive, an e-learning tool aimed at increasing participants’ intercultural awareness.

Adventure in the Amazon

Will you survive…? Experience a simulated jungle adventure and discover the magic of synergy and the power of consensus. Using an imaginary setting, participants will have the opportunity to examine the impact of their interpersonal behaviors on group effectiveness and on the outcome of their unique Amazon adventure!
