Social Justice Week & Black History Month 2012: Call for Workshops & Programs
Drexel's "Social Justice Week 2012" will bring together students, faculty, staff, and the broader Philadelphia community to explore, analyze, and address issues ranging from poverty, privilege, and oppression, to work toward social justice. The week is designed to recognize the broad range of issues that impact social justice and to cultivate a campus committed to social responsibility and leadership. The week will run from Monday, January 16 through Saturday, January 21, 2012.

Black History Month 2012 Planning Committee
The Office of Multicultural Programs is now forming the Black History Month Planning Committee for the upcoming month of February 2012 and is looking for student leaders and organizations to get involved! The Black History Month Planning Committee needs YOU to help brainstorm and develop the month-long series of programming dedicated to the history, cultures, and contributions of people of African/Black American descent in the U.S. and beyond! CEO LEAD, Creating Experiential Opportunities for Leadership Education and Development, Drexel’s hallmark leadership development program, is expanding and rebranding in 2011-2012; official launch coming Winter 2012!

"Read to Lead" - Drexel's New Leadership Book Club
“Read to Lead” is a new leadership book club on Drexel University's campus, created by the LA Team. Any student, especially student organization leaders, can join. We will post book/article ideas on our book club blog and members should feel free to comment on/discuss any ideas they have about the current reading, ways we can improve, or suggestions for future readings.
YOU have the power to choose our first-ever “book of the month”! Vote in the poll on the right side of our blog to have your voice heard. Also, feel free to comment on the post and suggest a book if it is not listed.

Student Organization Pictures for Yearbook
Get as many of your members to come cheer on the Dragons, then meet at half-time for your picture. Be sure to wear organization t-shirts or Drexel gear to make your picture awesome. A copy of your picture will be sent to your organization contact person for you to use on your Facebook page, CollegiateLink profile, website, or other marketing materials.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot during one of these group shot sessions or to schedule another time to have your organization or team’s photo taken.

Alternative Spring Break (ASB) 2012 Trip Applications Now Available
The application for ASB 2012 is available via CollegiateLink, our online student organization management system. Students must log-in to CollegiateLink via DrexelOne. Once logged-in to DrexelOne, click the “drexel” tab and then click the CollegiateLink hyperlink located on the bottom left-hand side of the page under the Campus Involvement menu header. The form is available through the following methods:
Applications must be submitted by Friday, December 9, 2011 at noon. Fees associated with a trip are determined based on transportation expenses, lodging, and meals. Please contact email@example.com with any questions regarding the Alternative Spring Break program.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Office of Campus Activities, in collaboration with several University partners, is exploring the potential of an international ASB experience. Though a trip is not yet confirmed, the potential exists. When completing the ASB application, students will have the opportunity to express their interest in an international ASB.

Leadership Assistants (LA’s) support the Office of Campus Activities (OCA) in providing opportunities for meaningful co-curricular engagement that develop self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and citizenship, complementing academic, co-op, and professional experiences. OCA has a team of 7 student leaders serving as LA's on Main Campus and 3 in Center City for 2011-2012!
