Mission: The Greater Philadelphia Food Bank collects, stores and distributes an annual average of eight million pounds of wholesome food to charities throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, more than 16 tons every day. This food bank is used to provide 41,000 meals every day, 15 million meals every year...to nearly 310,000 needy households. The Food Bank serves its 700 non-profit organizations with 1,400 feeding programs a total of $19 million on their annual food bills.

Mission : Habitat Philadelphia is an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, which developed our model of partnership housing. We don't build houses for needy families, we build houses with them. They put in 350 hours of work on the construction site alongside thousands of volunteers. Volunteers are one part of what makes the houses we build affordable. The other part is a zero-interest mortgage that allows homeowners to pay back the cost of their house through monthly payments that they can afford.
