The Drexel Learning Center, DLC, is an academic center where students can attend study sessions, work with tutors and improve their study skills. To sign-up for a tutor or to learn more about the DLC’s services, please visit http://www.dlc.drexel.edu.
The DLC is located in 050 Greenawalt Student Development Center, lower level Creese Student Center, next to the Charlotte Alletag Commuter Lounge.
What is the Drexel Learning Center?

Individual Tutoring
DLC provides individual tutoring for all undergraduates enrolled at the university with a focus on science, mathematics, technology, and engineering courses. We employ the best and most committed students on campus with an average 3.8 GPA. Whether you are looking to improve your grades or want that added boost, our tutors are here to help. Individual tutoring is by appointment only and can be scheduled online.
Weekly Group Reviews
DLC organizes weekly study groups and examination reviews for a variety of courses including first and second year Engineering, Calculus, Statistics, Finance, Chemistry, Physics, and others. A weekly schedule of these study groups is posted here.
Math Workshops
DLC organizes a series of calculus workshops for the College of Engineering.
Study Skills and Academic Strategies
DLC offers access to an Academic Strategies Coach who can work with you individually to improve your study skills, study habits, and/or academic strategies. Appointments can be made by logging in and searching for a tutor for LEARN101.
Where can I find help with writing a paper?
The overriding mission of the Writing Center is to promote a culture of writing within the university by serving as the hub for all kinds of writing interests and activities. All members of the Drexel community benefit from the Writing Center's free services: students, faculty, creative writers, administrators, and support personnel.
- Students are offered help with their course writing assignments through on-site and e-mail tutorials and small group workshops.
- Faculty are offered help with designing and assessing writing assignments and also through workshops and colloquia.
- Creative writers are offered the opportunity to share their work and ideas through public readings of their work.
- Administrators and support personnel are offered help with writing reports, memos, letters, and other forms of written interaction.
The Writing Center is located in 0032 MacAlister Hall from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Fridays. Writing Center coordinators can also be found at the Haggerty Library in room 111, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday and Myers Hall Tutor Lounge from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday – Thursday.

Where is the library?

Where can I study on campus?
Academic buildings have various lounges set aside for students. Some colleges/departments may also have computers for students in their programs. Check with your school to see what they suggest.
The Newman Center (the corner of 33rd & Chestnut Streets) has study space that is open to students.
In addition, the Greenawalt Student Development Center and the Charlotte Alletag Commuter Lounge, both located in the lower level of the Creese Student Union Building, offer large tables and chairs for an energetic study and group project area.
