If I have a question, but do not know whom to ask, is there someplace I can go to ask?
You may stop into the Office of Campus Activities/Commuter Student Programs and Services office in Creese 215 or e-mail commuters@drexel.edu with your question. The Assistant Director of Commuter Student Programs and Services, Jessica Grace, or a Commuter Assistant is available for students to speak to in person or a staff member will reply to your e-mail in a timely manner.

Do I really need to carry my Drexel ID/Dragoncard with me?
Yes, your Drexel ID, also known as the DragonCard, is your official form of University identification. You will need it for access to academic buildings and the library. Your meal plan and/or Stored Value Fund dollars are linked with your DragonCard.

To read more about Frequently Asked Questions regarding the DragonCard, visit http://www.drexel.edu/dragoncard/faq.html.

I want to participate in community service, where can I find out about volunteering opportunities?
Drexel’s Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) has a huge database full of community service opportunities in West Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. All first year students are required to fulfill a 5 hour community service requirement by the end of their first year. CCE has specific information for first year students as well. Please visit CCE at www.drexel.edu/cce.

Another great opportunity to volunteer is the Office of Campus Activities’ Alternative Spring Break Program. An Alternative Spring Break program places teams of Drexel students in communities to engage in community service and experiential learning during their spring breaks or on various weekends throughout the year.

The objectives of the Alternative Spring Break program are to involve college students in “weeklong” community based service projects and to give students opportunities to engage in activities that will benefit the environment, the community, and the needy. The fee to go is inexpensive (~$100.00) but the experience is priceless. For more information please visit: http://www.drexel.edu/oca/communityservice/special_projects.html.

Another great community resource is Greater Philadelphia Cares. Philly Cares supports the creation of vibrant communities by motivating people to volunteer their time, talents, and resources. Philly Cares is one of the largest non-profit volunteer organizations in the nation and supports a variety of projects working with women issues, the environment, education, children and animals. For a calendar of events and information on how to join visit: http://www.philacares.com.

Where can I find the Registrar or Financial Aid Office?
The Registrar’s and Financial Aid Office is located in the same place, room 208 of the Main Building. It is known as the Student Resource Center or SRC. Their website is www.drexel.edu/src. This website is also a great place to check out the academic Calendar.

I am having trouble with my student bill, where can I go to find help?
If you are having trouble with your bill, visit the Student Resource Center at room 208 of the Main Building or visit: www.drexel.edu/src for more information.
