2010-2011 CEO Certificate Pick-up:
Available From OCA Any Time
The "Creating Excellent Organizations" (CEO) workshop year has come to a close, nearing record numbers for participants and certificates awarded. The Office of Campus Activities (OCA) hosted the 13th Annual CEO Program Recognition Reception on June 2, 2011, where all program participants were honored for their achievements and recognized for continuing to develop both personally and professionally. The reception was open to any student who participated in at least one (1) CEO leadership workshop during the 2010-2011 academic year.

Certificates were awarded to students who attended the minimum of six (6) workshops.

CEO Certificate recipients can pick up their awards from OCA any time. The certificates will be available anytime between the hours of 8am-7pm, Monday-Friday. OCA is located in the SORC (Student Organization Resource Center), which is on the lower level of the Creese Student Center, past the Commuter Lounge and the GSDC. If you are having trouble getting to campus within the designated hours, we can make arrangements to ship your certificates to you (on an individual basis only) – please send an email to CEOLEAD@drexel.edu to make arrangements, if necessary.

Thanks again to all students who participated in the program last year, as well as all workshop presenters, faculty, staff and alumni for their dedication and contributions to the program!

$2000 Grants Available to Student Orgs
The Drexel University Alumni Association is currently accepting requests from recognized student organizations for grants to support events and programs. The Alumni Association Grants Program provides recognized student organizations with financial support of up to $2,000 in order to help them carry out their goals and initiatives by supporting events and activities that increase interaction between students and alumni, enhance the student experience, promote tradition and support academic excellence.

FUNDING REQUEST DEADLINES:
Summer Term: July 27, 2012
The deadline to submit funding proposals for consideration by the Grants Committee is 5pm by the deadlines above. Requests must be for events or programs that will be held two or more months after the deadline. Student organization leaders are encouraged to visit www.drexel.edu/alumni/grants for more information on the program and for application instructions, including a “tip sheet” for completing your application and guidelines for submission.

Nikon Camera

Nikon D3100 Training Session
Drexel University's Photography Club will host training sessions on the new Nikon D3100 camera. Digital single-lens reflex (D-SLR) cameras allow for manual control of many key features, producing higher quality photographs than most simple point-and-shoot cameras. Attendees will learn basic digital photography techniques & how to properly use the camera.

Training sessions last about one hour with time for questions at the end. Only students who are successfully trained will be able to rent the Nikon D3100 directly from the Office of Campus Activities for free.
