Staci German Stills
Staci was on staff with the EAT.RIGHT.NOW. Nutrition Education Program from September 2008 until June 2010. She has a BS degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition from West Chester University and an MS degree in Health Promotion from the University of Delaware. Staci was raised in Philadelphia and attended Ben Franklin High School, one of the schools which this program services.
Staci provided nutrition education for 6 schools in the School District of Philadelphia. The schools are the Daniel Boone School, Edmunds Elementary School, Frankford High School, Shallcross Middle and High School, Carroll High School and Labrum Middle School. Staci’s favorite lesson is handwashing. Students are amazed when they see the germs on their hands while using the “special detective light”. She also has found children washing their hands before eating, while singing their ABC’s, long after this lesson has been given. It has a strong impact on the children.
Staci and her husband have one son. Her favorite food is pizza and yes, it can be healthy!!! She also loves pineapple, pumpkin and Caesar salads. She stays active by working out, playing basketball volleyball, flag football and enjoying water sports. The philosophy that she uses in her own life is “Don’t go where the path may lead, instead, go where there is no path and leave a trail” – unknown.
