Samantha Thompson

This is Samantha’s first year as a Nutrition Educator.  Samantha grew up in Levittown, PA which is a small suburb located outside of NE Philadelphia.  She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in spring 2009 with a B.S. in Applied Nutritional Sciences along with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies.  In spring 2010, Samantha completed a Dietetic Internship with ARAMARK Corporation in Baltimore, Maryland and is currently eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian Examination.

Samantha is currently partnered with seven schools in the School District of Philadelphia.  They are Randolph High School, Olney East High School, Olney West High School, Simon Gratz High School, Roxborough High School, Grover Washington Middle School, and William H. Hunter School.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, exercising, and catching up on sleep!  Her favorite fruit is strawberries and her favorite vegetable is broccoli.  She also never misses a Penn State football game.

Samantha is very excited to be with EAT. RIGHT. NOW.  She’s looking forward to working with children of all ages and hopes to help them understand that moderation is key!
