
Renee Hart
Renee was a nutrition educator for the Eat.Right.Now. Nutrition Education Program for three years. In September 2009, she started her stint in the Marywood Dietetic Internship in Pittsburgh, PA.
She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 2006 with a B.S. degree in Nutrition/Dietetics as well as a culinary certificate. She graduated fromDrexel University’s Master of Public Health Program in the spring of 2009. Renee was raised in Aliquippa Pa, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Aliquippa Senior High School.
Renee partnered with eight schools within the School District of Philadelphia. They are Mariana Bracetti Charter Academy, Woodrow Wilson Middle School, Franklin Learning Center, Feltonville School of Arts and Sciences, Philadelphia High School for Business and Technology, Wagner Middle School, Harrison Elementary School and Mastbaum High School. Renee’s favorite lesson to teach was Fast Food Frenzy. She believes the visuals that accompany the lesson are great and that they really help the students see how much fat is in some of their favorite fast foods. Renee’s favorite fruit is strawberries. She enjoys rest and relaxation on weekends, working out, listening to music, going to the movies, going home to visit her family and eating healthy!
