Karletta Poland 
Karletta is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a BS in Elementary Education. Karletta was raised in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia and attended Overbrook High School. She graduated from Drexel University in 2009 with a MS in Teaching, Learning, Curriculum. Karletta and her husband, Christopher, have two daughters and a son. With her busy schedule, Karletta is learning about the advantages of crock pot cooking in order to provide her family with delicious, healthy, home cooked meals. In her spare time, she loves to finish old furniture.
Karletta partners with eight schools within the School District of Philadelphia. They are Blaine Elementary School, Hunter Elementary School, Conwell Middle School, Kearny Elementary School, Morris Leeds Middle School, Philadelphia Military Academy at Leeds, and Harding Middle School. She also partners with the ELECT Program in South Philadelphia High School. Karletta loves to teach the “Rethink Your Drink” lesson as she not only engages the students but the teachers also get very interested in the information. Her favorite fruit is pineapple and her favorite vegetable is spinach. She loves working with middle school girls through the Girls’ Clubs. The cooking clubs are her favorite activity, as she imparts nutrition knowledge while teaching children how to cook healthy through fun recipes.
