Beth Dowshen

bethBeth has been a Nutrition Educator for three years.  She has been with the Eat.Right.Now. Nutrition Education Program at Drexel for the past year as a Program Coordinator.  Beth attended the University of Delaware where she earned her BS degree in Dietetics and completed a Distance Dietetic Internship.  Presently, Beth is enrolled in the Masters of Public Health Program at Drexel University.  Beth is a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist. 

Beth works in 3 schools in the School District of Philadelphia.  They are Waring Elementary School, Lincoln High School and Meehan Middle School.  Beth enjoys teaching elementary and special needs students about food safety and handwashing.  The students get excited when she uses the Glitterbug® Potion activity to teach about germs and proper handwashing.  Beth’s favorite fruits to eat are peaches and blackberries, vegetables are mushrooms and artichokes and she loves to snack on yogurt parfaits or popcorn.
