More Than 100 Law Schools to Participate in Drexel University-sponsored Recruitment Fair
September 18, 2008
Representatives from more than 100 law schools nationwide will offer prospective students information about their programs and admission requirements on Sept. 24 at the third annual Philadelphia Law School Fair, sponsored by Drexel University’s Steinbright Career Development Center.
The fair parallels those sponsored by the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). The LSAC includes more than 200 law schools in the United States and Canada and all law schools accredited by the American Bar Association.
The fair will run Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the North Waiting Room of Amtrak’s 30th Street Station.
“Prospective law students who attend the Philadelphia Law School Fair will benefit from firsthand information that will help them identify the schools at which they will reach their fullest potential as students and attorneys,” said Peter Franks, executive director and associate vice provost of the Steinbright Center.
Prospective students will be able to speak with admission deans, faculty, students or recent graduates of each school. The law schools planning to attend come from a variety of public and private universities. The law schools of Drexel, Penn, Duke and Northwestern are among those that will be represented. The list of participating schools and links to their Web sites may be viewed at Drexel.edu.
A panel discussion led by admissions officers from the University of Illinois, Penn State, the University of Miami and Vanderbilt addressing “The Law School Admission Process” will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. in the 12th-floor conference room of Cira Centre, 2929 Arch St.
Students may visit www.drexel.edu/scdc for more information about the fair.
