Engineers Without Borders Founder to Be Honored as Drexel’s Engineer of the Year

Philadelphia, February 21, 2008

Amadei, professor of civil engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, will receive the award at a banquet, concluding Drexel’s celebration of National Engineers Week. Prior to the banquet, he will deliver a Powerpoint presentation on Engineers Without Borders’ mission to partner with disadvantaged communities to improve quality of life through sustainable engineering projects. When and where: • Presentation: Noon to 12:30 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium in Drexel’s Edmund D. Bossone Research Enterprise Center, Market Street between 31st and 32nd streets • Banquet: 5 to 9 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Rittenhouse Hotel, 210 W.
