Drexel Students to Volunteer their Services in Observance of MLK Day

What: Drexel students will volunteer on the Martin Luther King Jr. day of service to renovate Bache Martin Elementary School and distribute coats and blankets to those in need.
•Coats and blankets have been collected at Drexel for the past couple of weeks and will be sorted on Monday by student volunteers before being distributed to Opportunity Place, Saint Francis Inn and St. Vincent DePaul warehouse.
•Students from Circle K, a service organization, will paint and renovate classrooms at Bache Martin Elementary in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia.
•Monday, January 21, 2007
•Coat and Blanket Drive volunteers will sort through the coats and blankets, package the collections and write cards from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Common Room of Drexel’s Race Street Residence Hall (33rd and Race Streets).
•Circle K volunteers will paint at Bache Martin Elementary School from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The school is located at 2201 Brown Street.
