  • Drexel Nursing Student Wins EDDY Award

    The Philadelphia Education Fund (Ed Fund), announced the 2009 Stars of Public Education at a ceremony held at the Edmund D. Bossone Research Enterprise Center (Market Street between 31st and 32nd Streets) on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Nursing student Erica Garner received the organization’s Rising Star EDDY award at the ceremony, which honors the achievements of those who improve the quality of public education for underserved youth throughout the Philadelphia region.

  • Refocusing a Drexel Tradition

    "The Water Boy" statue has a new place of honor in the Main Building Great Court (32nd and Chestnut Streets). Previously located near the Provost's Office, the statue has been moved to the left of the main stairs, making it more accessible to students, faculty, staff and Drexel visitors.

  • Philadelphia Orchestra Simulcast

    The Philadelphia Orchestra has re-launched its global concert cybercast initiative, with five full-length concerts beamed to campus in high definition and Dolby digital sound. The next performance can be viewed in Mitchell Auditorium, Edmund D. Bossone Research Enterprise Center (Market Street between 31st and 32nd Streets) on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8 p.m.  The concert is Mahler's Seventh Symphony with conductor Christoph Eschenbach.
