MusicSelect using Napster |
|
Napster is both a music store and a music service. With the service,
members can login and stream music from any computer and download songs for use on up
to three PCs as long as your membership is active. Getting Napster through the Drexel
MusicSelect saves you $23.85 to $95.40 or more for ResNet students.
With the store, songs can be bought
individually for $0.99 each or in packs for as little as $0.80 each. Unlike streamed or
downloaded songs, songs that you buy can be played forever. In addition, bought songs
can be burned on to CDs, or be copied to compatible MP3 players. (There are over 75
compatible MP3 players from over a dozen companies; however, iPods are not compatible.)
Members with Napster can upgrade to Napster To Go for $5.00/month. With Napster
To Go, downloaded songs can be transferred to compatible devices. This lets you fill
and refill your MP3 endlessly without paying for each song. There are over two dozen
compatible devices, including MP3 players from Dell, PDAs from Palm, and smart phones
from Audiovox.
