The Biological Science (MBS) program is a two-year master's degree program that provides students with the opportunity to enhance their academic credentials for application to medical or other health professional schools. The curriculum offers preparation for the MCAT, undergraduate science review courses and graduate-level courses to prepare students for the rigor of health professional schools.
Our two-year Biological Science program evolved from our former Medical Science Preparatory (MSP) certificate program curriculum and Master of Science in Biological Science curriculum into a fully federal financial aid-compliant two-year Master's degree-granting program.

Admission to the MD Program
A number of academically excellent pre-medical and pre-health program graduate students are interviewed each year for admission to the Drexel University College of Medicine MD program. The MD program enrolls a strong cohort of students from the Interdepartmental Medical Science (IMS), Master of Science in Biological Science (MBS) and Master of Science in Medical Science (MMS) programs. For the past several years IMS, MBS and MMS graduates comprised about ten percent of the entering MD class.
