Evan J. Weiner, MD, FAAP, FACEP, FAAEM

Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics; Program Director, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship

How long have you worked at the College of Medicine?

Since 2007.

What's your favorite part about working at Drexel?

I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of the students. It's been very easy to get involved at the medical school level.

What do you like most about your colleagues?

Their passion and dedication to teaching and patient care.

Are you mentoring any students? If so, what are those relationships like?

I have in the past but not currently. It's great to see students just beginning their careers to start on their upward path to success.

How would you describe the culture at Drexel?

Student-centered, innovative, supportive.

Do you think Drexel does a good job providing programs and support for diversity and inclusion?

Yes, I do. I have been impressed with the programming. I wished there was a closer relationship with St. Christopher's—the distance gets in the way.
