Our Facility

Printed on white satin paper with a semi-gloss finish, posters are priced according to size at a cost of $6.50 per square foot.

The Center for Scientific Communication and Outreach features a Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 5500ps printer, which uses a six-ink system to print photo-quality images and text on rolls up to 42 inches wide and 100 feet long. At print speeds up to 89 square feet/hour, the DesignJet 5500ps can print a 48-inch-long poster in 10 to 15 minutes.

Posters will be printed on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to posters required for upcoming meetings. Although the turnaround time will depend on order volume and printing priorities, we generally ask for files 24 hours in advance of printing. However, posters may be printed on the day of receipt and can be printed as you wait for an additional fee. Please note that pricing is based on time of submission of the final version of the poster.

We do accept orders from organizations and institutions outside of Drexel University. Please contact us for more details.

Creating Your Poster and Submitting It For Printing

We recommend that you construct your poster with the smaller dimension not exceeding 41.5 inches to ensure nothing will be cut off from the margins required by the printer. Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop documents are recommended. Please contact Raphael Lukov for any further questions or advice or to email your poster. In the event that your poster can not be delivered via email, you may send a disk to the below address or stop by in person with a disk or flash drive:
