Research Interests

Compressive Sensing; Approximation Theory, especially Spline Functions; Computational Mathematics; Applied and Classical Analysis.

Biography

Simon Foucart received a Masters of Engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris and a Masters of Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 2001. He obtained his PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 2006. He then held postdoctoral appointments at Vanderbilt University in 2006-2009 and at the University of Paris 6 in 2009-2010. He joined the Department of Mathematics at Drexel University as an assistant professor in 2010.
