Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor and Director of the Drexel Nanomaterials Institute Yury Gogotsi has been elected to the Materials Research Society (MRS) Board of Directors. Gogotsi’s three-year term begins January 1, 2016.
The MRS board is comprised of elected officers and directors with one third of the board changing annually. Gogotsi was nominated to the slate of candidates and was elected with four other new members. The board is the governing body of MRS and helps to set the direction of the Society as it relates to its mission of furthering materials research to improve the quality of life.
