Program Overview: Earle Mack School of LawJuris Doctor - the basic law degree. This is a three-year program that includes the opportunity to obtain real-world experience through our nationally-known Co-operative Education Program and the Pro Bono Service Program. The degree can be achieved by J.D. candidates and joint-degree candidates who are pursuing another degree at the same time. Drexel University is committed to offering a rich variety of upper division courses complemented by cooperative externships and skills courses. Our initial areas of concentration reflect the strengths of Drexel University, aspects of legal practice of particular importance in the Philadelphia and mid-Atlantic region, and developing areas of law which promise to be of major significance in the foreseeable future: Health Law, Intellectual Property and Business and Entrepreneurship Law. Exceptional faculty to lead studies in these areas have been appointed. Specific concentration program requirements will be determined in ample time for all students currently enrolled or who will matriculate in 2008 to take full advantage of the opportunities available. In the future, other concentrations may be identified in consideration of student interest and faculty resources.

The Earle Mack School of Law offers courses in every important subject and practice area. Students will graduate with a J.D. degree reflecting an education that will enable the graduate to enter the practice of law in any subject area.
