One
of Earle Mack School of Law’s founding
principles is a commitment to professionalism. The
Public Interest Law Program at Drexel will instill
in our students a sense of duty to work in the public
interest throughout their legal careers. While at Drexel,
our students will use their skills and knowledge to
provide legal services to individuals or groups traditionally
underserved by the private bar. During their training
in law school, our students will perform 50 hours of
mandatory pro bono service and will also have the opportunity
to work in a two-quarter public interest co-op. Our
goal is that our students will seek full-time public
sector employment or provide pro bono services while
employed in the private sector. Whichever career path
our students choose, Drexel Law is dedicated to encouraging
and supporting students to contribute to and make a
difference in their communities through public service
work.
