Swearing-In Ceremony Celebrates New Members of the Bar

Class of 2013 Swearing In Ceremony

November 07, 2013

Joined by their friends, family and members of law school administration and faculty, dozens of graduates from the class of 2013 took a ceremonial oath of office as members of the Pennsylvania bar at City Hall on Nov. 6.

Dean Roger Dennis introduced the graduates before Hon. Pamela P. Dembe, president judge of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Dennis commented that the school's class of 2013 is comprised of soon-to-be practitioners that have already logged hundreds of hours of actual practice as law students.

Prior to administering the oath, Dembe commented on the remarkable job Dean Dennis has done with the law school.  Dembe also implored the graduate to continue to carry out the practice of law ethically and responsibly, something she was confident the school's graduates would do.

Approximately 50 graduates took part in the ceremony and represent just some of those who passed the Pennsylvania bar exam in July.
