There
were a lot of factors that led me to choose Drexel Law as my
law school.
But if I were to focus on one moment where
I felt confident about my choice, I’d have to say it happened
during the Drexel Law Accepted Students’ Day I attended.
At the same time I was becoming excited by how excited the faculty
and my fellow prospective students were about Drexel, I also
was starting to feel anxious and insecure about the prospect
of being a law student. I had gone to a good school for undergrad
and had done well there, but I began to wonder would I do well
in law school? So I approached the Dean of Students Jennifer
Rosato to ask about how to do well in law school. Dean Rosato
took time to patiently answer my questions and calm my fears.
In addition to being a really accomplished scholar, I found the
dean to be genuinely interested in my personal goals. She focused
on me as though I was the only person in the room. I walked away
from that conversation with a deep respect for the law school
faculty and with the confidence that Drexel Law was the right
place for me.
My
first year and half at Drexel has only confirmed the conclusions
I made at the Accepted Students’ Day event. I have
been able to flourish at Drexel because of the faculty’s
commitment to excellence and to Drexel law students. I have
also benefited tremendously from the support of my fellow
students. I remain convinced that Drexel Law offered the best beginning for
my legal career.
