Welcome to the Earle Mack School of Law Legal Research Center

Welcome to the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University's Legal Research Center.
On behalf of the entire LRC staff, we are happy that you are here.  The LRC is a modern facility that incorporates all of the elements that are needed and wanted by today’s law student.

We have several areas for you to study in.  We have a quiet study area as well as group study rooms for collaborative work.  Each of these rooms is equipped with a whiteboard and the entire facility is wireless.  We also have workstations for your use.

Our staff is here to provide you with the best assistance and service.  No question is off limits!  Our reference desk is open seven days a week to answer your research needs. As you will learn very soon, you have access to hundreds of databases including LexisNexis and Westlaw.  Most of these are linked off our web page, but you also have access to many databases as a Drexel University student.

The library also contains the most important print tools for your research including federal court decisions, statutes and regulations.  Additionally, we have most of the important sources you will need to research law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey along with selected states.

At the circulation desk, you will find items placed on course reserve by your professors.  As first year students, you may want to use additional study aids called hornbooks and nutshells.  Besides hornbooks and nutshells, we have complete collections of other popular study aids in our reserve collection.

Sometimes you just need a break!  The LRC has subscriptions to major newspapers and a nice collection of leisure reading materials including legal novels, biographies, and science fiction.  We subscribe to several magazines as well.

As you embark on this new journey, I hope you find the LRC to meet all of your needs.   If you have suggestions, comments, or questions, please feel free to contact me or any member of our staff.

Best wishes as you begin your journey in the Class of 2012!
