Michael G. Barton (e-mail: mgb43@drexel.edu, 215.571.4774; Room L310) is the Research and Instructional Services Librarian.  Mike holds a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and a M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University’s School of Information.  He has practiced law as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for ten years and previously worked as a reference librarian at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biddle Law Library. 

Mark Bernstein (email: mpb63@drexel.edu; 215.571.4770; Room L365) is the Director of the Legal Research Center and Professor of Law.  Before joining Drexel, Mark was the Director of the Omer Poos Law Library at Saint Louis University, where he was also an Assistant Professor of Law. Previously, he was Associate Director and Senior Lecturing Fellow at the Duke University Law Library.  At SLU, he chaired a Technology Advisory Committee, and at Duke, he co-chaired the Implementation Committee for an Integrated Library System. He is a past chairman of the Consortium of Southeastern Law Libraries and of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Academic Law Libraries Special Interest Section.  Bernstein’s publications include articles on the evolution of the law library, the impact of law specialization on library services and qualitative methods for evaluating the value of a library.

Keith Berthrong (email: kab66@drexel.edu; 215.571.4765; Room L363) is the Electronic Services Librarian for the Legal Research Center.  He is a 2006 graduate of Drexel’s Library and Information Science Program, and has previously worked as the Electronic Resources Assistant at Hagerty Library, in addition to being a cataloger at the Chemical Heritage Foundation in Philadelphia.

Benjamin Carlson (email: bc376@drexel.edu; 215.571.4724; Room L361) is an Access Services Assistant.  He earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2006.  He is currently working toward a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science at Drexel University’s College of Information Science and Technology.

Kristyna Carroll (email: knc29@drexel.edu; 215.571.4820; Room L313) is the Access Services Coordinator. She is a graduate of Villanova University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Library and Information Science at Drexel University’s College of Information Science and Technology.

Peter J. Egler (e-mail: pje26@drexel.edu, 215.571.4776; Room L311) is the Legal Research Center's Interim Head of Research Services . Prior to joining the LRC staff, Peter served as the Head of Reference at the University of Houston Law Center’s library. He is also admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.

Patrick Garon (email: pjg27@drexel.edu; 215.571.4733; Room L313) is the Evening/Weekend Access Services Supervisor.  A graduate of Boston College, Patrick spent six years in a similar position at the LSU Health Sciences Center Library in New Orleans.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Library & Information Science at Drexel’s College of Information Science and Technology.

Jessica Hsin-Wilson (email: jh585@drexel.edu; 215.571.4796; Room L367) is the Acquisitions Technician for the Legal Research Center.  She is a New York University graduate and will pursue her second master's degree in Library and Information Science at Drexel University.  She has over 15 years of experience working at the NYU Bobst Library Acquisitions Department.

Francis Lotuaco (email: fal28@drexel.edu; 215.571.4727; Room L364) is the Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant for the Legal Research Center. 

Joan Mazuchowski (email: jgm26@drexel.edu; 215.571.4781; Room L367) is the Interim Head of Technical Services for the Legal Research Center.  She is a 2001 graduate of Drexel University’s College of Information and Science Technology.  Her most recent law library experience was seven years of serving as the Collection Development Librarian at Jenkins Law Library.

Nicole Plana (email: np82@drexel.edu; 215.571.4778; Room L361) is the Access Services & Reserves Assistant for the Legal Research Center. She is a Temple University graduate and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh.  Nicole previously worked in reference services at the University of Pennsylvania Biddle Law Library.

Steven Thorpe (email: steven.r.thorpe@drexel.edu; 215.571.4726; Room L312) is the inaugural Head of Access Services/Research and Instructional Services Librarian at the Earle Mack School of Law Legal Research Center. His most recent law library experience was ten years of serving as Head of Public Services at the University of Tennessee Joel A. Katz Law Library.
