Chris Bourland, a senior appraiser at the Mid-Atlantic Valuation Group, received the MAI designation by the Appraisal Institute, an association of professional real estate appraisers in nearly 60 countries around the globe that has conferred this award on fewer than 10 percent of practicing commercial real estate appraisers in the U.S.

Lauren Fuiman Cell, an associate at Fisher & Phillips in Radnor, was named a 2016 Rising Star in employment and labor law by Super Lawyers.

Sean Corgan, an associate at Ricci, Tyrrell, Johnson & Grey in Philadelphia, was named a 2016 Rising Star in products liability by Super Lawyers.

Gerard Donovan, an associate at Reed Smith in Washington, D.C., was named a 2016 Rising Star in intellectual property by Super Lawyers.

Nathan Fox, a partner at Begley, Carlin & Mandio in Langhorne, presented “Key Legal Issues CEOs Must Be Aware Of” at an executive roundtable hosted by SmartCEO magazine in May 2016.  He was also named a 2016 Rising Star in land use and zoning by Super Lawyers.    

Jennifer Hermansky, an associate at Greenberg Traurig in Philadelphia, was named a 2016 Rising Star in immigration by Super Lawyers.

Jacquelyn Kline, founding partner of Cambria & Kline in Reading, received an Immigration Law Pro Bono Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association in May 2016.

Michael Benz launched Benz Law, a solo practice focused on criminal defense in Philadelphia.

Krysten Connon, an associate at Pepper Hamilton in Philadelphia, co-authored an article, “How Arbitration Swallowed up Consumers’ Ability to Bring Lawsuits,” which appeared in the New Jersey Law Journal in February.

Jessica Farris was promoted to director of criminal justice at the American Civil Liberties Union in Southern California.

Yoninah Orenstein, an associate at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg in Philadelphia, co-authored an article in The Philadelphia Lawyer: “Applying the ‘Best Interests of the Child’ Standard in Shared Custody Arrangements.”

Colleen Swim this summer joins the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia, where she will serve as staff attorney and head the Project for Youth Educational Success.

Mourin Thomas is assistant general counsel for Capital Health, in Central and South Jersey, where she is responsible for legal oversight of clinical research, including negotiating clinical trial agreements, reviewing informed consents and recruitment advertisements for compliance with federal requirements.

Justin Tomevi, an associate at Barley Snyder in York, Pa., was named by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Business Litigation.
