Professor Alfred Yen serves as Drexel Law’s Inaugural Distinguished
Visiting Scholar of Intellectual Property during the 2007-08 school year.
He is Professor of Law and Director of the Emerging Enterprises and Business
Law Program at Boston College Law School, where he has been on the faculty
since 1987. Professor Yen is a nationally recognized expert in copyright
law. He has a particular interest in the ongoing tension between Internet
communities and copyright holders. His scholarship has appeared in the
Georgetown Law Journal, the Minnesota Law Review, the Iowa Law Review,
and the Harvard Civil Rights – Civil Liberties Law Review, among
other places. He is also a member of the American Law Institute.
