The Criminal Law Program builds on the school’s dynamic criminal law curriculum, exceptional criminal law faculty and an array of co-op and clinic opportunities that provide firsthand experience in the criminal courts.
The program provides a strong theoretical foundation while preparing you for the realities of a career practicing criminal law. Our graduates have launched satisfying careers with District Attorney’s Offices throughout the country as well as public defender’s offices from Philadelphia to Miami. Others have started their careers in private practice or in the criminal courts, working as judicial law clerks.

The curriculum covers traditional courses such as criminal procedure and trial advocacy as well as more specialized subjects such as sentencing law and health care fraud and abuse. The required concentration co-op or clinic placements, in addition to pro bono service, will help you win your first legal battles, sometimes before you even you start your career.
