Human Rights Attorney to Discuss Rule of Law in Haiti on Oct. 13

September 27, 2011

On Oct. 13, Brian Concannon, founder and director of the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti, will visit the law school to talk about the state of human rights and the rule of law in Haiti, and what lawyers and law students can do to help.

The International Law Society and National Lawyers Guild are sponsoring this engagement.

Following the discussion, Adjunct Professor and Philadelphia practitioner Thomas Griffin will discuss the Haiti Justice Project and how students can get involved with the March 2012 Drexel Delegation to Haiti.

Students interested in participating in our Alternative Spring Break Service Learning Trip to Haiti can download the Drexel Haiti Justice Project 2011-2012 Delegate Application here.

The event takes place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 240.
