Adjunct Professor Steven A. Morley Appointed to Philadelphia Immigration Court

Adjunct Professor Steven A. Morley was appointed as Immigration Judge for the Philadelphia Immigration Court on Dec. 17, 2010 by Attorney General of the United States Eric H. Holder, Jr.

The court, which falls under the aegis of the U.S. Department of Justice, has the authority to grant foreign nationals legal status and to order foreign nationals to be deported.

Previously, Professor Morley maintained a private practice focused on immigration law and criminal law. He has argued before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court, and chaired the Criminal Justice Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
