The Hearing Format
 

The Board is established to provide a fair hearing for any student or student organization who contests the alleged violation of policy(ies).

  • The Chief Justice will open the proceedings, state the charges, and ask the respondent if he/she is responsible for the alleged violation(s)
  • The complainant will proceed with the presentation of the case, present witnesses and respond to questions
  • The respondent will then be asked to present a defense, present witnesses and respond to questions
  • After both cases have been presented, parties will be asked to give a closing statement
  • Parties will receive notification of the Board's decision in writing within a reasonable time period.
