DUNX1

After decades of service, the DUNX1 system and services will be retired on Thursday, June 30, 2022. See our News page.

All students, faculty, staff, and student organizations may set up a Drexel Unix (DUNX1) account to host a personal homepage, store files, and for general-purpose Unix shell access.

DUNX1 accounts have a 100 MB file storage limit.

Account Activation

  1. Sign in to the Computer Accounts Management Service (CAMS) with your DrexelOne user ID and password.
  2. Continue to the page that lists your current accounts.
  3. Click the button labeled "Set up new account" for an Academic Unix account.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the account setup.

If you plan to use DUNX1 for a personal homepage or file storage, no further set up is required; you may transfer files to your account as needed. If you are using DUNX1 for general-purpose Unix shell access, you need to pick a command shell by clicking on the "Shell" link that appears next to Academic Unix in the list of your accounts.

How to Access your DUNX1 Space

Download and install a secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client, either sFTP (Windows) or Fetch (macOS).
