Video Conferencing

Video Conferencing (VC) is an electronic system using video cameras, and a high bandwidth network connection which allows a number of people to communicate with each other real time using sound, video and to share data such as text and graphics even though they are thousands of miles apart.

IRT/ITS supports video conferencing in various ways:

  1. Through enabled classrooms in the Korman Center
  2. Through VC bridging supporting conferences multipoint (more than two endpoints)
  3. Through VC gateway services allowing the mixing of IP and ISDN endpoints within a video conference
  4. Cross campus assistance with non-Korman Center VC event setup and management
