Web @ Drexel
Drexel offers several different web servers on which to post web
pages on. Please read through the following to determine which server
applies to your needs.
Personal web pages (for everyone)
All students, staff, faculty, and student organizations have the
persmission to post personal web pages on the DUNX1 server. You
can transfer your pages to dunx1.irt.drexel.edu via FTP. The login
information for this server is the same as your email login information.
Instructions for how to use FTP to publish your pages can be found
under the Web Workshops link above. The URL for personal
web pages is in the form http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~userid.
Student organizations who wish to post web pages on the DUNX1 server
must first request recognition via the Office
of Campus Activities, Creese Student Center Room 215, 215-895-1328, or askoca@drexel.edu. Once recognized, the organization president requests a student org computer account from accounts@drexel.edu. Student organization accounts cannot be created until the OCA has completed the recognition process.
Departmental web pages (for academic/administrative departments)
Academic and administrative web pages are housed on the university's
main web server (www.drexel.edu). If your academic department does not currently
have a web page on the main web server, please send a request to provostweb@drexel.edu; administrative departments should contact University Relations at univrel@drexel.edu.
