Removing an older version of the Cisco VPN client software: |
1. Click the Start menu and then click Control Panel. When the Control Panel opens, double-click "Add or Remove Programs"
| 2. After the program list comes up, click on the Cisco VPN client and then click Remove |
| 3. Click Yes to confirm that you do actually want to remove the old Cisco VPN Client. |
| 4. When prompted, click Yes to have the existing connection profiles deleted. (don't worry - the new version will automatically set up the new profile for you) |
| 5. When prompted, click Yes to have the existing certificates deleted. (Again, don't worry, the certificate will be imported the first time you connect to the VPN with the new client) |
| 6. Make sure that you close any other programs or applications that are running, then click Finish to restart your computer. If now's not a convenient time to restart, then select the "No, I will restart...later" option and click Finish. Please note, however, that you will not be able to install the new VPN client until you restart your computer. After you restart, visit the Drexel IRT VPN Page (you may want to go there now and make it a bookmark or favorite) and click on Install The New Cisco VPN Client to install the Cisco software. |
