Uninstalling An Older (4.0.x or below) Cisco VPN Client in Mac OS X

    1. In the Finder, click the Go menu and click on "Utilities" to open the Utilities folder.  Locate the "Terminal" application and double-click it.

    2. At the prompt (which will very from one computer to another, but almost always end in "%" - my prompt here is:
"[Antilles:~] ck76%"), type in the following command, as shown on the right:
    sudo /usr/local/bin/vpn_uninstall

    3. After you enter the command (be sure that you type it exactly as shown), press the Return key.  You'll be prompted for a password - this is the password that you use to install software on your Mac.  While you may have it set to be the same as your Drexel password(s), there is no actual link.

After you enter your password, enter "yes" and press the Return key for both questions.

    4. If all goes as it should, you'll see a screen like the one shown here.  Now that the old version is removed, you can Install The  New Cisco VPN Client for Mac OS X.
